Today we are sharing sneak peeks of Gleefully Yours and Smile, which is the Free with 3 set. My first card uses Gleefully Yours -this classy set was designed by Nina Brackett and is SO on trend right now! Are you a Glee fan? Either way you will LOVE this set! It has 7 images and 5 sentiments.
My next card uses Smile. Oh this little set is SO CUTE! I was completely smitten by the trees image (which I am sure someone else used, so you can see what I mean), but strangely they didn't make it to this card. Funny how that happens. This set has 1 frame, 2 images and 3 sentiments. I embossed the frame and added a tiny bit of green to it with a copic marker.
P.S. See how I sewed around those corners? Man, I need some tips on how to do this because I about broke my machine with all the stopping, turning, you should see the mess on the underside -yikes!
Once again, Gina is giving away TWO of EACH set to lucky commenters! The winners will be announced tomorrow on THIS blog entry just before the Release Party starts. So, be sure to leave a comment on each blog along the hop for more chances to win!
EDITED to answer some questions:
1. The flower on my Class Act card was purchased from Wild Orchid Crafts2. On my You brighten my Day card, I embossed the dotted frame image by using orange pigment ink and embossing it with clear powder

ReplyDeleteLovely cards Michelle! I like the vintage feel and that pretty crocheted lace in the first card and the CAS style of the second - that labels 8 stamp MUST be mine someday!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Michelle! I love your stitching around the corners on the second one. I've had the sew mini for a couple of years now, and have never threaded it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards.
ReplyDeleteWow! Love the design on the first card. It has a very "flapper era" feel or soemthing with that black lace trim. Love the colors you used on the second one -- very fresh and springy!
ReplyDeleteBoth great cards - really like the detail on the second.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! Love that first one with the paper piecing and black ribbon.
ReplyDeleteI like your class act card. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletethese are neat, your stitching is not that bad, it helps if you just go really slow. (like a stitch at a time slow on corners.)(and you can always line the inside hee hee)
ReplyDeleteThe first card reminds me of the roaring 20's. Loving it! The second is very simple but elegant. Great Job
ReplyDeleteThese are both gorgeous! Such attention to detail, thanks for the close-ups; truly beautiful!

ReplyDeleteJean McGee

ReplyDeleteLove the flower on your 'Class Act' card. Is it homemade or store bought. If Homemade, how was it done. Suzyq
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! I love the yummy Victorian-ness (is that a word?) of the first, and the simple layout of the second really lets the image shine! Beautiful!

ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! Class Act card is so sophisticated with the black accents! You stitching is great on your second card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle~
ReplyDelete2 Great cards! I love the Vintage look of the first card. The black ribbon and trim with that red flower popping off the black, and the wonderful coloring in those itty-bitty lines. I wish I knew how you do that! Great card!
The 2nd card really looks like it is "You!" Love those cheerful colors, and the flowers are great...love how you use the buttons and the ribbon. And, the sewing is wonderfully worth it! Of course, we non-sewers use a while signa bal pen and make tiny dashes around the edge...the photo can't tell. And, you have no "underneath" thread mess! Try the easier route sometime. I love the dots on the tag card. Did you put something on them? The close up looks like they were treated.
Both Beautiful! Thanks so much for everything you share, Michelle.
Wonderful!
He IS Able,
Traci S.

ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous Michelle, absolutely love your style girl! You're Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteMichelle,
ReplyDeleteI love the retro feel of your glee card and those images are so vintage, which is so hot right now along with old lace/ribbons. Your Smile frame really stands out as the focal image, which I love because I get carried away/overboard when I try to do too much layering. LOL Great inspirations, and so nice of you to share the close ups. ;)
Your 'smile' card is lovely! Beautiful colors, simple but oh so stunning!
ReplyDeleteYour sewing looks fabulous on the top side! Great job on both cards.
ReplyDeleteI can see I am going to love this free with three set! I love your card using it.
ReplyDeleteWell your cards are lovely, but if you are having difficulties with the underside of the stitching, just play with the tension regulator on your machine. Grab your manual if you have one and see what it says about sewing on cardstock. They really are quite nice however. I think so anyway!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the detail, tying on the button. Really cute card, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! Especially LOVE the second one!!!!
