Stamp Simply Ribbon Store Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to the second Stamp Simply Ribbon Store blog hop! This blog hop Sharon challenged us all to make a 3D item. WELLLL... you all know my irrational fear of all things 3D! This was just about torture for me. Hahaha!

I went to SCS Resources page -which is so the "go to" place for 3D item templates. I found a template for an adorable Easter Basket. Believe it or not, it was easy to do -not at all scary like some of the Timeless Templates I purchased in the past (and never used). I used the amazing papers, ribbons and rhinestones from the KaiserCraft Lilac Avenue kit. You can get all the kit items individually if you chose to. I LOVE this paper -the colors just scream spring to me and I went with a basket for some garden seeds. Here is a picture of the entire basket:
Please look for this project in the April 2011 issue of Crafts 'n Things!!

Here is a picture of the side. Don't cha just LOVE the Ruffled Suede ribbon along the handle? I LOVE this stuff! This ribbon is available separate from the kit. Here is a close up picture of the flower and tag. Made with my SU! Scalloped punch and all papers from the KaiserCraft paper pad. The sentiment on the tag is from my JustRite Stamps Seeds of Kindness set. I just inked up the "Smile" word and punched it out with my Martha tag punch. Here is a close up picture of the right front side. Here you can see I added a rhinestone to each scallop on the top border and added some 1/8" silk ribbon around the pattern paper seem. I didn't think I would use this 1/8" silk ribbon, but honestly, it is PERFECT scale for so many of my projects!

Here it is empty without all the staging. Pretty and simple - just my style!!

As a gift to one of our loyal readers, one lucky winner will receive a wonderful assortment of Barb Schram's ribbon flowers AND a generous selection of ribbons from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! So be sure to start from the beginning at Sharon's blog and leave some love along the way!! You have until Saturday, March 13th 6pm EST to leave comments. A winner will randomly be chosen from one of the DT blogs!

Thanks for stopping by -have a great day!
