Butterfly note card trio

Hi everyone!  I have a fun set of note cards to share today.  Each of these uses a butterfly wood veneer and the negative piece from a die cut.  Quick, easy and uses up those die cut scraps that we toss most of the time.

The patterned paper is from the Confectionary Prints pack and will be available from the new catalog on July 1st!  The butterfly wood pieces are a Bloom Benefit from the Spring into Summer catalog, called Summer Wings.  In case you aren't familiar, Bloom Benefits are free when you place an order of $50!

FSJ convention recap and a sneak peek card

Hi everyone!  So I've just returned from Fun Stampers Journey annual convention and WOW!  What an amazingly successful event it was!  I don't want to bore you with a million photos, but here are a couple.

As you can see, lots of fun and learning was had!  I'm still recuperating, but just HAD to play with a couple of new items that will appear in the new catalog launching July 1st.

This cute stamp set is called Build-A Skyscraper and is one of my favorite new stamps to come out!  My card is pretty simple and is pretty much a one layer with a few accents.  Each of the buildings are stamped with different colors using the lightest color stamped for the base and darker color for the accents and top.  The FUN little stars are new embellishments called Star-Fetti. 

You're gonna love this set with it's endless possibilities!

Day at the beach

Hi everyone!  Summer is in full swing! I know this because my allergies are OFF THE CHARTS right now.  But I digress, my boys get out of school on June 16th (yes, much later than most of the US) and one of the things on our to do list this summer is visiting the Oregon Coast.  If you're not familiar with the Oregon Coast, it's not your typical day at the beach - lots of wind and cold, but still much fun to be had.  With that spirit in mind, here is today's card.

I used the new Summer Fun stamp set and matching Summer Fun die set.  I colored them with water color pencils and then added Journey Glaze over top.  I didn't use any on this card, but the collection has matching wooden shapes which are adorable.
