Heart You card

Hi everyone!  I was in the mood to play around with my embossing paste, so I made this "heart you" card.  I like how the embossing paste adds just the right amount of texture combined with the texture plate from the Build-a-Tag One die set.
Notice my embossing paste is pink?  I added a bit of color to my white paste by using the FSJ Bubblegum Pink silk!  It's a fun way to customize and match colors on your project.
I use the Diagonal Chevron die to make my stencil. I wanted the triangle corner pieces along the bottom left, so I flipped the die cut over and taped it down.  I added paste to the first 4 openings.
Here are the tag die sets I used:
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.  You can really see the dimension and texture the tag texture plate added!

Fun fringy card

Hi everyone!  I have a fun fringy card to share today.  There is a new fringe die in town and it's SUPER fun.  It's part of the Celebra'tions line from Spellbinders.
I die cut a variety of blue colors in the fringe and created an ombre effect.  I originally wanted this to say congrats and be a graduation card, but the word was too long and didn't look right.  So SMILE it is!  I added some gold glittered washi tape along the top and some fun gold sequins for accents.
Here is the fringe die.  It's designed to be folded over, but for my card I trimmed it to have one layer for each color.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  Here is a close up pic.
Card Deets:
Spellbinders Supplies:

Dies: Fringed Garland (SCD-017), Font One Lowercase (S5-199)

Contemporary dogwood flower card

Hi everyone!  I have another fun flower card to share.  I've been into purple lately, so when designing this I reached for the fabulous Deep Lilac cardstock to pair with the awesome Contemporary Circles die set!
The flower on this card is from the Create-a-Flower series of dies (which has 24 flowers in it now!) and is the Dogwood.  I love it and it is super easy to make.  You only have to die cut the pieces once (other flowers require multiple pieces).  Here is a picture.
I lightly sponged some Bubblegum Pink ink onto each petal and bent them slightly over my thumb.  I then glued the petals to the petal base.  I overlapped them at the center to get my petals close enough to touch at the sides.  The stamens are also super easy, just a tiny curve with my embossing tool and done.
Here is the Contemporary Circles, isn't it the coolest?  It also comes in a Square and Diamonds!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.  You can see I added a sequin and pearl to the center.
Card Deets:
Spellbinders Supplies:
Dies: Dogwood (S2-125), Contemporary Circles (S4-498), Celebration (IN-012)
Other Supplies:
Fun Stampers Journey cardstock in Black Licorice, Sweet Pear, Deep Lilac, and Kiwi Kiss and Journey Sequins in Bloom Time; Blush pearls in 2 and 3mm

Crafty flower birthday card and another winner

Hi everyone!!  I have a fun card to share that uses one of the new flower die series from Spellbinders called Crafty Flowers.  There are 6 sets in this series and my card uses Crafty Flowers 3.
I also used the Fancy Lattice die if a fun way.  First I cut out a rectangle from my card front using my paper trimmer.  Below I show after my first 2 cuts.
Next I die cut some white cardstock using my Fancy Lattice die.  I adhered it to the back of the opening using white liner tape.  Then I adhered a piece of purple ombre patterned paper behind the opening.  Fun huh?!?
Next I die cut the pieces for my flower.  I ended up using 5 of the medium sized petal and 10 of the small petal.  These flowers are pretty easy to assemble.  There is a split in the bottom of the petal and you separate it and adhere it to the petal base, shown below.

Before I go, I never heard back from my Fun Stamper's Journey prize package winner I announced last week.  So that means I get to pick another winner!!  Random.org helped me chose:

Conversation bubbles card

Hi everyone!!  I have a fun card to share.  This one uses 3 of the 4 Conversation Bubble die sets, which are part of the Die D-Lites line (and only $10).  SO.  Stinkin'.  Cute!  I could make cards with these all day.
The embossed background is from one of my favorites the Lovely Lattice embossing folder.  Spellbinders folders are double sided, so you get 2 designs for the price of one!!
The striped rectangle bubble normally has the pointer on the right side, but I wanted more balance so I flipped it over and you really can't tell at all.  I added a bit of ribbon to a mini paper clip which is something I never do, but think is super cute!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.
Card Deets:
Spellbinders Supplies:
Dies Conversation Bubble 1 (S2-135), Conversation Bubble 2 (S2-136) and Conversation Bubble 3 (S2-137); Lovely Lattice folder (ES-009); Celebra'tions Just Because stamp set (SCSD-008)
Other Supplies:
My Mind's Eye enamel dots; White embossing powder; Versamark ink; Fun Stamper's Journey Mini paper clip

Congrats shaker card

Hi everyone!  I have a fun shaker card to share today.  I used the same Bordered Sentiments die set I used on this card, but this time I used the CONGRATS die.
The label shape is from Labels Forty which has been around for awhile, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet.  I thought it would make the perfect frame for this card.  I cut out the inside with the A2 Matting Basics A and B die sets.  Those sets are must have basic dies for card makers because they are scaled to the A2 sized card.

I thought it would be cute to run the sentiment along the bottom of the shaker window.  It's kinda cool that the gold sequin stars peek through the letters.  For my flower accent, I used my stand by flower die set, Blooms Four.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up picture.
Card Deets:
Spellbinders Supplies:
Dies in Bordered Sentiments (S4-512), Labels Forty (S4-465) and A2 Matting Basics A (S5-132) and A2 Matting Basics B (S5-132); Blooms Four (S2-047)
Other Supplies:
Gold string; Peach, Coral and White cardstock; Lawn Fawn Let's Polka, mom amie 6x6 paper; variety of sequins from Cartwright's Sequins and Butterfly Reflections.
Adhesive: Tombow USA Mono Multi liquid glue; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Squares

Happy sunshine card

Hi everyone!  Since I am finally vertigo free, I was inspired to make this happy fun sun shiny card!  This card uses one of the new Bordered Sentiments dies.
I die cut the sentiment from gold glitter paper and I ended up cutting the letters off their "border" so they could rest along the curve of the patterned paper.  The sun is from the Sunny Days stamp and die set which I stamped in Golden Glow ink and cut from Golden Glow cardstock.
The butterflies are from the new Marisa's Bouquet die set.  I love all the flowers in this set and they didn't work out on this card, but I was able to use the cute little butterflies.

Isn't this set adorable!?!  Bordered Sentiments:

A special thank you and Celebra'tions giveaway!

Hi everyone!  I often hear from crafty bloggers how wonderful their readers are and I have to agree.  I think in general, crafters are a wonderful and generous people!  I've mentioned on my last couple of posts how many of you reached out to me in comments and emails about my struggle with chronic vertigo and I want to say thank you again and mention one reader in particular.

I would like to give a special shout out and thank you to
Denise B!

Not only did she reach out to me about my vertigo, but she emailed me again and linked a video from a doctor in Colorado who developed a maneuver for vertigo sufferers who don't have luck with the Epley maneuver.  I am thrilled to report that within hours of trying the "half somersault" maneuver I am VERTIGO FREE.  After 34 days, yes 34 DAYS of vertigo, it was gone. A true miracle.  If not for  Denise and that maneuver I would have spent countless days suffering and time and energy with specialty doctors and additional medications.  I shudder to think.
EDITED: in case anyone wants to know, the info is: Dr. Carol Foster from the University of Colorado Denver.  A YouTube search will show her Half Somersault video.

Now being vertigo free is something to celebrate, so how about a little give away of Spellbinders Celebra'tions goodies?!?  Yes please!!

Here is what I have to give away:
  • Fabric Weave embossing folder
  • Celebrate die plate
  • Just Because stamp and die set
  • Beautiful Friend stamp set
  • Save the Date stamp set
  • Pixie Play ink
  • Pretty Plum ink
EDITED: I should add that I already sent Denise B a fun package of goodies in the theme of her favorite color.  I add this because one of my lovely commenters asked if she win she wanted me to mail the prize package to Denise.  Carol H, you are so lovely and thoughtful!!

To enter this giveaway, just leave me a comment here on this post.  If you would like share something nice that you did for someone OR what someone did for you that would be wonderful, but not manditory.  I will chose a winner on Wednesday, May 6th.

Thank you and good luck!
