Row Houses

Hi everyone!  I have a fun card to share using the new Die D-Lite die, Row Houses by Spellbinders (now discontinued). Isn't this die fun!?!  At first, I die cut white cardstock and colored the houses with copic markers.  But I don't have mad coloring skills and didn't like the way it turned out, so I tried cutting each house with a different colored cardstock and glued it over it.  I love how it turned out!
The house on the far right is die cut from gold mirror cardstock and the turquoise house (second from left) is painted with some sparkle using a Zig Wink of Stella glitter pen in clear.  That little strip of gold foil diamonds along the bottom is the new and amazing washi tape from Little B Designs.  Oh my these little foil tapes are sooooo cute!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here's a close up of the die cutting details.

Hello washi card and another winner!

Hi everyone!  Today I'm sharing the coordinating card from yesterday's post.  For this one, I used the negative piece from my Classic Heart die cut and added some heart layers in the center.
Here is a pic of them side by side, aren't they fun?  I used the same dies and embellishments on both which makes it super easy to make two at a time!  I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder to make it pop.

I wasn't contacted by my second winner post from my Blog-a-versary giveaway, so Random.org helped me chose yet another winner!  Who knew it would be so hard to give stuff away - lol!  Third time's a charm, right?

Thank you washi tape heart

Hi everyone!  I have a couple fun coordinating washi tape cards to share -one uses a die cut heart shape and tomorrow I'll share the coordinating card using the negative die cut.
To make the heart, I adhered strips of washi tape to white cardstock and die cut it from the center.  The flower embellishment is a combination of 2 die sets with a tiny rose in the center.  I love the layered flower look!

I added a few sequins for embellishments.
Tomorrow I'll show the card I made using the negative square with the heart die cut from it.:-)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up of the die cutting details.

Christmas in July and a new winner

Hi everyone!  I don't normally make Christmas cards other than in November and December (no, I do NOT work ahead!), but I was making some cards for my winter Paper Creations article which I can share here since the magazine closed down (sniff sniff).
So it's Christmas in July!
I used a stencil with this card and I really like how it turned out!
For the stencil effect, I used the Stars Five dies and placed a star shape (die #4) onto the stencil and inked around it in 2 different colors, first Red Hot then Moonlit Fog.  I used some washi tape and taped down both the stencil and my paper, just to make sure nothing moved.  See below picture.
Here's how I made the puffy stars on the card.

I also want to announce a new winner for my Blog-a-versary Giveaway!  One of my previous winners was international and I wasn't able to send my package, so Random.org helped me chose another winner:

Here's the Gold Rounds One set:
For my circle ring, I inked up the Gold die #5 with pink ink and then embossed it into a precut white cardstock ring.  Here's how it turned out.
My flower was make from the Create-a-Rose set.  You can see a step out tutorial on how I made the rose on this blog post.  Or there are complete PDF instructions on Spellbinders web page on the Create-a-Rose page.  I used the Floral Flourishes set for the leaf flourish details.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here's a close up picture of the rose and circle detail.

Sparks challenge Hexagon card

Hi everyone!  I have a fun card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.  The theme is Anything Goes which made it easy to play along!

My card uses the Paper Smooches stamp set, Bitty Bungalows.  I think the little houses and accent images in this set are super cute, I had a hard time chosing which one to use!  I also had some fun with my Hexagon dies, using my die #3 to die cut shape and emboss it's shape into the cardstock base.  For a mini tutorial of how this is done, you can see my post here.
I kept this pretty simple and just accented with a little Blooms One flower I already had made in my stash (love that!) and some gold glitter dots.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!  Here's a close up of the embossing detail.
