Simple washi tape cards

Hi everyone!  I had a chance to play with some Prima washi tape and have a couple cards to share.  These are super duper easy peasy.  A couple strips of tape and a few embellishments laying on my desk and done!
This first card uses the Spellbinders Hearts One die, a flower from the Multi-Pack Divine Collection (now discontinued) -link to mini flower dies to use instead.
This second one is even easier, with only the same flower, rhinestones and sentiment as embellishments. These would be perfect for quick thank you cards.
Well, that's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with some close up pictures.

Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper - (Gina K Designs) white cardstock

CAS-ual Friday Stamps: Brickworks

Hi everyone!  Welcome to day Two of CAS-ual Friday Stamps May release sneak peeks!  Today we are spotlighting the set, Brickworks  This set has a 4 brick border patterns and 8 really cool sentiments for Dads, Grads and much more.
My card uses the solid zig zag brick border and 2 of the sentiments. I selectively stamped the bricks in aqua inks and added a die cut flower I had on my desk.  There is no pattern paper on this at all, which seems to be a theme for me with Michele's stamps!!  Oh and nothing like a staged picture to make you notice you glued the square panel crooked!  Oh well...
The set has an outline brick border that coordinates with the solid bricks.  It didn't really work with my card, but it's a cool effect, so I thought I would show you. Tons of possibilities with this set.
Be sure to check out what my fellow Girl Friday Ink Squad girls have to share on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps blog, and Michele will be giving away this stamp set to one lucky commenter on the blog, so head on over!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.
Card Deets:

Paper - white, Turquoise Sea, Sweet Corn cardstock (Gina K Designs); melon cardstock

Celebrate bracket borders card

Hi everyone!  I had a chance to play with some new JustRite stamp sets and have a card to share.  As soon as I saw the border stamps from the Bracket Borders One set (which coordinates with the Spellbinders A2 Borders One dies) I knew I had to use it. The bracket border shape is one of my favorites.  The sentiment frame is from the Vintage Banners stamp set.  I wasn't so sure I wanted white for the sentiment banner, but I tried kraft, yellow and blue and nothing looked right, so I settled -just one of those things.
For my embellishments, I had some extra flower die cuts laying around from my scrapbook page project (Savvy Saturday video on the Spellbinders blog) and ended up putting one behind the yellow Interlude Prima flower.  I used some My Mind's Eye stick pins from my stash, but Sharon has lots of beautiful pins in the store that you could use to recreate this.
Well, that's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  Here is a close up picture.
All supplies can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
Card Deets: Stamps -JustRite Papercraft (Bracket Borders One, Celebration Labels One & Bracket Borders One stamp sets)
Ink - brown and kraft
Paper - white, yellow and kraft cardstock; So Noted 6x6 pad (Carta Bella)
Accessories - Spellbinders A2 Bracket Border and Jewel Flowers and Flourishes dies; JustRite Vintage Label and Banner Dies; Prima Interlude C flowers; White Wrinkled ribbon; Kaisercraft silver and aqua rhinestones; button; stick pins;

Hi everyone!!  Today is REVERSE CONFETTI’S VERY FIRST Release Day! To get things started, we invite YOU to hop along with the Confetti Crew and a few other talented stampers that are helping to launch this fabulous new stamp company!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Tiffany’s blog. There are tons of inspiration for you to see using Reverse Confetti’s first 4 brand new stamp sets!

I am showcasing the set Happy Harbor which is available NOW!
I thought the paper from Fancy Pants, Trendsetter would be perfect with this nautical theme stamp set.  I let the stamps shine with only a few sequins as accents.
The next stop on the hop is Joscelyn’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.

Gina K May release inspiration blog hop: Day 2

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to Day 2 of the Gina K Designs DT Inspiration Blog Hop were we hope to inspire you with many beautiful ideas for the sets released in May! As you hop through the blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each because we will choose a few random commenters and they will win a grab bag that could have anything from stamps to paper to embellishments!! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops.

Today we are spotlighting 2 sets:
Stamp it BIG 2, illustrated by Carolyn
Simple Flowers, Illustrated by Tami
First up are a couple cards I made with Stamp it BIG 2.  I love how the large bold words can take center stage on the card.  I used lots of Color Companion new inks, papers, ribbons and buttons on this first card.
My next card uses some wood veneer heart accents I've been wanting to use and some red grosgrain.  I want to pause a minute here and let you know that the grosgrain ribbon from Gina is SUPER soft and pliable.  There are many brands out there that are stiff and hard to use, but not Gina's!
Next up I have 2 cards using Simple Flowers (and the sentiment is from Simple Hearts) .  I just love all the circles in this set cause I *may* have a slight obsession with my Circle Nestabilities dies!!  This card layout could be done in tons of colors and use striped pattern papers that comes in all our favorite 6x6 pads!  Once again, I have used lots of inks from the Color Companions line.  This card uses Fresh Asparagus, Sweet Corn and Passionate Pink.
This one uses Turquoise Sea, Fresh Asparagus, and Bubblegum Pink.
Ready for the hop?  Check out all the amazing designs and inspiration:
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the hop!

Spellbinders dies used are Circles SM Nestabilitites and Jewel Flowers and Flourishes Shapeabilities.

some Savvy rejects and a Spring cleaning winner

Hi Everyone!!  I have a couple "rejected" cards to share.  These were submitted for the recent Stash Savvy call from Papercrafts magazine which will be an issue that focuses on unique and savvy ways to use your regular crafting stash.  I was lucky enough to get 2 cards accepted, but these 2 were not chosen so I can post them.
This was sent in for the "Savvy ribbon" category.  I used a gluber glue dot to make this ribbon blossom.
This next card was sent in for the "Savvy washi tape" category.  In retrospect, it may not have been savvy enough, I used washi tape as the sentiment of the card as well as die cut a matching circle piece from the tape.
...and now for my winner!  I want to thank you all for your lovely comments on my reorganizing/Spring cleaning giveaway post.  Random.org helped me chose number 26 as the winner.

Wow Your area looks wonderful. I am just starting on mine and boy do I have a long way to go! Thank you for the chance to win.

Congrats Sabrina!  Please contact me (my email is on the sidebar) and let me know your address info and I will send the goodies out ASAP.  You have until Friday the 10th to contact me.
That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for a special sneak peek post I have scheduled for tomorrow!!
