Celebrate your special day

Hi everyone!  I had a chance to play with some new JustRite stamp sets and have a card to share.  As soon as I saw the rose from the Floral Vintage Labels Two set, I KNEW I had to use it.  I was born in June and the rose is my birth flower.  I have always loved and adored roses (they're even in the name of my blog).  This flower is swoon worthy for sure!  I stamped it 3 times and cut out and layered it for extra dimension.  The center is 3 gold sequins with a yellow rhinestone in the center of each.
Along the side, I stamped one of the border images from the Celebration Labels One & Bracket Borders One set and framed a piece of ribbon and I embossed it with gold embossing powder. You know, every time I heat emboss I remember how much I love it.  It's such an easy technique that I always forget about!

Well, that's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  Here is a close up picture.
All supplies can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Happy birthday Michele!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Girl Friday Ink Squad surprise birthday blog hop for our fabulous Commander in Chief of CAS-ual Friday Stamps, Michele Gross!
Here is a picture of me, Glenda Wyatt and Michele (in the center) at CHA.  It was so fun to meet Michele in person.  Michele, you are such a sweet person and I'm so happy to be designing for you.
Happy birthday Michele!!

Each of us girls was assigned a letter in the word BIRTHDAY and we were to make a card using a color that started with that letter.
My letter was H and I chose the color Hot pink!!
The flower blooms stamped in hot pink ink are from the stamp set, Mums the Word and the sentiment is from Bold Wishes.  I accented each with a yellow enamel dot, I kept it simple and happy.  Be sure to check out what birthday wishes my fellow Ink Squad gals made for Michele!  Here is the blog hop list:

Labels Eighteen shaped card

Hi everyone!  I have a really quick and easy card to share using some goodies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  Seriously, this card uses 2 stamps, some ink, 2 die cuts, ribbon and some pearls.
This adorable flower stamp is from the Floral Thank You set from JustRite.  I inked the green part with a small ink cube, then tapped the flowers with pink ink and inked the yellow centers with a marker.  I love the look of a multi-inked stamp it adds so much dimension without doing much work.  I added stickles and pearls to the petals for some sparkle.

The card is made from the GORGEOUS Labels Eighteen which is my all time favorite Spellbinders Labels.  To make it, I die cut 2 pieces and scored the back piece about 1/2" from the top and glued it to the front above the scored line.  Super easy!

Well, that's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  Here is a close up picture.
All supplies can be found at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
Card Deets:
Stamp -JustRite Papercraft (Floral Thank You)
Ink - Pink, green, brown ink pads and yellow marker
Paper - white cardstock
Accessories - 1/4" yellow silk ribbon, Kaisercraft yellow pearls, stickles

CAS-ual Friday stamps: more April release cards

Hi everyone!  I have a couple more cards to share from the CAS-ual Friday Stamps April release.  Wasn't it a fun release?
First up is a card using Mums the Word. I have to say, this set is my favorite this month.  The beautiful flowers and sentiments are right up my alley!  I used Spellbinders new A2 Scalloped Borders for the bottom of this.  I think this border is so pretty along the bottom.  I stamped the flower blossoms using Gina K and SU inks (I find these work the best with solid image stamps).  I cut them out and added rhinestones to the centers.
Next is a card using Bold Wishes.  There is no pattern paper on this card (crazy, right?), but the elements in this set makes it easy to do some simple stamping to create your own patterns.  I added some mulberry flowers, rhinestones and ribbon accents.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with some close up pictures.
Card Deets:
Stamps - CAS-ual Friday Stamps April release

Ink - (Gina K Designs) Honey Mustard; (Su!) Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy, Calypso Coral
Paper - (Gina K Designs) Ivory and Dark Chocolate cardstock; Carta Bella "Traditions" 6x6 pad
Accessories - (Wild Orchid Crafts) mulberry flowers; Spellbinders On the Edge and A2 Scalloped Borders One; 2, 3 and 4mm Topaz rhinestones; (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store) 1/8" striped grosgrain ribbon and brown wrinkled ribbon; (Want2Scrap) Say it With Bling Dark blue rhinestones

Spellbinders Savvy Saturday video

Hi everyone!  Well, I did it.  I made my very first video!  I am pretty happy with it, but I realize there will be a learning curve here.  There are some choppy transitions and I won't tell you how many days of prep and video takes it took to make this.  I know it will get easier with time, after all when I first started making scrapbook pages it took me 3 days to do 1!

So, I invite you to watch it and let me know what you think.  You can access the video here on the Spellbinders blog post.
Here is a peek at my project.
Thanks everyone and have a great day.

P.S. this is 1 of 2 blog posts today.  Stay tuned for my post showing the remaining cards from the CAS-ual Friday Stamps April release!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the last day of CAS-ual Friday Stamps April release sneak peeks!  Today we are spotlighting the set, Bold Wishes.  This set has a 4 variations of the flower graphic and 5 really cool sentiments.

Be sure to check out what my fellow Girl Friday Ink Squad girls have to share on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps blog, and Michele will be giving away CAS-ual Fridays Store gift certificate to one lucky commenter on the blog, so head on over!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.

I'm a Spellblogger!

Hi everyone!!  I am not sure if you saw this announcement post?  After 2 years, I have transitioned from the Spellbinders Design Team to the Spellbloggers DT.  What is the difference you ask?  Well, the DT mostly works behind the scenes with the yet to be released die sets, making projects each month for CHA, ads, trade shows and the Idea Gallery.  Whereas a Spellblogger makes projects using currently available dies for the Spellbinders blog.  Each post is pretty involved with step out photos and I will be doing 1 or 2 videos a month (ok, totally scared to tackle videos!).

So with this new position, you will now see all of my Spellbinders work.  There are weekly themes we follow and this week we are showcasing the Imperial Gold line of dies.
Today is my first blog post as a Spellblogger and I am so excited!  If you have a chance please hop over there check it out and leave me some love (I have this irrational fear that I will have the only post without comments -lol).
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a snippet of my card:

Celebrate with Prima

Hi everyone!  I have a fun circle card to share using some goodies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  This card uses lots of new goodies from Prima Marketing.  I love the new Lady Bird collection -the papers are such fun and bright colors, kind of a departure for Prima and more to my style.
The flowers are from the Mini Rose Stems Divine and Life Time packs and the gray strip across the card is the Lady Bird fabric tape.  The sentiment is from JustRite's set, With Gratitude Labels One.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.
