FTL209 Pumpkin pie, Pumpkin patch

Hi everyone!  I just received some new goodies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and set aside a few minutes to play along with this week's Fall To Layout sketch challenge (FTL290).  It was a really cool sketch and I made this card in less than an hour (which is pretty fast for me)!

I used the gorgeous Apple Cider 6x6 paper from Bo Bunny and the sentiment stamps are from JustRite's Autumn Words.  I added some rhinestones, velvet ribbon and prima flowers as accents and done!  See the gold edges on the flowers?  I chose those specifically for that.  I generally use silver tones in my cards, but this paper and theme allowed for gold accents perfectly!  LOVE!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.

A Clean and Simple Christmas

Hi everyone!  Welcome to another Stamp Simply CAS Christmas Wednesday!  Each Wednesday from now until Christmas, Sharon will start a hop from her blog with the some of the DT showing some quick and easy Christmas card designs.  It is pretty informal and some weeks I will have a chance to play along and some I won't.

Today I had a chance to use the new Christmas washi tape from My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland and All is Bright collections.  I love this washi tape, they both have really fun designs!
When short on time, CASE yourself I say!  If you recognize this card, it's because I made it before (and it actually made the cover of CardMaker magazine).  I added a small silk ribbon bow to the top corner and some silver rhinestones to give the card that extra Christmas umph!
I took a couple photos to show how I used the tape.  This picture shows how I laid out the tape overlapping the card's edge.  This makes it easy to get the pieces even and if you make a mistake, no worries - it's removable!  You can see I laid the stamp out to make sure I had enough room when I was done for the sentiment (from JustRite's, Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments).
Here is a picture of the back side after I folded the ends over.
My next card uses the same washi tapes and cardstock, I just changed up the card design, added some twill ribbon tabs and a button and used red rhinestones instead of silver.
Check out the other girls's blogs and see what CAS Christmas inspiration they have for you!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a couple close up pictures.

My Runner and Ryan's Tree

Hi everyone!  I have 2 layouts to share with you today.  Many of you know part of the requirements on the Spellbinders DT is 1 layout a month.  This part of the job has always daunted me.  But I have to say over 1 1/2 years of doing these, it IS getting easier!!  lol!

You can now find these layouts in the Spellbinders Idea Gallery along with many other DT projects that will inspire you.  First up is a layout I did using a photo of Bill running one of his 1/2 marathons (so proud of you Honey!). The title for this page was actually cut out of an alphabet paper.  This layout uses papers from Kaisercraft.
Here are the Spellbinder dies I used in this layout:

Next up is a layout I made with pictures of my youngest, Ryan, up in "his tree".  This little guy LOVES to climb anything!!  This layout uses papers from My Mind's Eye.
Here are the Spellbinder dies I used in this layout:

A Clean and Simple Christmas

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the very first Stamp Simply CAS Christmas Wednesdays!  Each Wednesday from now until Christmas, Sharon will start a hop from her blog with the some of the DT showing some quick and easy Christmas card designs.  It is pretty informal and some weeks I will have a chance to play along and some I won't.

Today I had a chance to use the new My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland 6x6 pad and  stamps from JustRite Papercrafts.  First up is a simple card using JustRite's Large Fancy Holiday Sentiments.  I also used one of the tiny snowflake images from the set and stamped them with a metallic green ink onto the paper.  I accented a double bow with a Prima flower from the Miss Godiva collection!
My next card uses the same basic sketch, but with a different stamp set and ribbon treatment.  This time I used the great Christmas Antique Labels One and coordinating Antique Labels One dies!  I stamped the label in red ink and accented it with some rhinestones and some stickles.
So there you have it, 2 quick and easy Christmas cards.
Now head on over to Sharon's blog and see what CAS Christmas inspiration she has for you!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a couple close up pictures.

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone!!  I am on a card making roll!  I saw the amazing Waltzingmouse sketch this week and had to play along.
This card uses all of my favorite things.  I love all the new My Mind's Eye papers, these are from The Sweetest Thing, Bluebell 6x6 pad.
I also love all the Prima Flowers (now discontinued) - Link to great mini flower dies to use instead.
And my favie new WMS set is Compact Sentiments (now discontinued) - Link to great sentiment dies to use instead.
And last but not least - my Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities!  Yes, even with all the new and wonderful Labels and Shapeabilities set, my all time favorite dies are circles!
I followed the sketch pretty much exactly, but the center strip panel looked better at an angle rather than straight across.  I think it had to do with my circle and flower cluster.  The sentiment was stamped a bit too high, so I added some rhinestones to fill the space.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  Here is a close up picture before I go.

It's too soon for Christmas...

Hi everyone!  So why am I posting a Christmas card?  Well, I just received the new cutie pattern paper packs Blizzard and Winter Whimsy from Gina K Designs and I was totally inspired to dive right in!  I saw the Viva La Verve sketch on Maureen's blog and knew the perfect sketch for all this paper.
The snowman and sentiment are from Gina's Wishing You Joy set.  I accented it with a couple tiny Christmas bells (from A|Muse) and fun Red Chevron twill ribbon from The Stamp Simply Ribbon store.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'll leave you with a close up picture.

Spooky

Hi everyone!  Long time no post!  Things have been pretty crazy around here with back to school AND we are rebuilding our back porch (which hasn't been going smoothly).  So it's no surprise my mojo has gone AWOL.  I decided to jump back into stamping with a simple card using my much neglected Unity Stamps and play along with Friends with Flair!
I have seen this layout using washi tape all around the galleries and thought it would be perfect for this cute little bat.  These tapes are from a Halloween pack from A|Muse!  The stamps are from Unity's August 2012 KOM and I also played along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge CFC69, which was to emboss.  I heat embossed the bat image and the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!  Here is a close up pic to show the embossing detail.

Card Deets:
Stamps - Color of the Seasons (Unity Stamp Co)
Paper - Pumpkin and Sugar cardstock (A|Muse Studios)
Accessories - Halloween washi tape (A|Muse Studios), Black/white baker's twine from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, buttons
