Retreat treats and thank you cards

Hi everyone!  I wanted to share with you the little gifts that I made for the Spellbinders ladies at the retreat.  You see, we were all to bring a little something from where we lived or that said something a bit about us.  I decided to give the girls an assortment of STASH tea bags.  Stash is a Portland based company and has the most delish tea flavors (I also added a couple chocolates to the baggies, cause everyone loves chocolate).

I made the tags from a variety of my Labels and Nestabilities dies.  That's one great thing about the Grand Calibur, you can lay out lots of dies at once.  To make all 16 tags, I think it took me about 3 runs through the machine.  The pattern paper on all of the tags is from various My Mind's Eye 6x6 pads.
My next ongoing project will be to make and send out thank you cards to each of Spellbinders' Cross Promotional Partners that donate some product for the DT to use on our Spellbinders projects.  The list is pretty long, so I will be making the cards in batches.  My first cards use stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  I used Scallops and Dots and the sentiment is from Fancy Phrases.  I made 4 with this design and that's about my limit.  I just can't make anymore of the same without going crazy -lol!
These cards use some of my Amuse Studio cardstock, ink and ribbons and My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline pattern papers.  Yes, I used MORE of the new MME pads, I just can't help myself!!  The little rhinestones on the flourishes are from Pizzazz Aplenty.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  Here is a close up of some of the tags and a group shot of the thank you cards.
Card Deets:
Stamps - Fancy Phrases and Scallops and Dots (WMS)
Ink - Squash, Onyx and Latte (AMuse Studio), Peach (Colorbox)
Cardstock - Latte and Bermuda (AMuse Studio); kraft, white and ivory (Worldwin Papers)
Pattern Paper - Miss Caroline "Dolled Up" and "Dilly Dally" and Follow Your Heart "Be Amazing" 6x6 pads (MME)

Keep Calm and...

Hi everyone!  I am back from Phoenix from the Spellbinders DT retreat and it was amazing!  I have a couple of photos I can share here in a couple of days.  But first I have a card to share that was for a recent Paper Crafts call that wasn't picked up.

I just love JustRite's set, Keep Calm.  The possibilities are really endless (can you say Pinterest?)!  I've done it before, but I love matching the saying with a Spellbinders die shape.  It just adds that much more to the card, don't you think?  This uses some papers from one of the fabulous My Mind's Eye Six by Six pads.  You can see the delicate stenciling I did through the die on the handle with glitter glue.  I love the soft touch that technique adds.  The cutie flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I should mention the oval Labels die shape in the background is a JustRite custom die made by Spellbinders.  It is specifically designed to match stamp sets from JustRite.  You can see all the custom JR dies here.  That's it for today, I am still unpacking and have project assignments to complete by the end of the month!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Card Deets:
Stamps - Keep Calm (JustRite Stampers)
Cardstock - Pure Luxury Ivory (Gina K Designs)
Pattern Paper - Six by Six collection, "Everyday Flair" (MME)
Accessories - Spellbinders S4-350 Nested Tea Cups and JB-10025 Nested OvalMedallion Labels, stitched grosgrain ribbon (Details), gold 2 and 3mm rhinestones (Pizzazz Aplenty), Burlap string (May Arts), mulberry flowers (Wild Orchid Crafts), Stickles in Stardust (Ranger Ink)

Paper Creations Spring issue giveaway

Hi everyone!  Most of you all know my love for print magazines.  Nothing beats a relaxing afternoon browsing through a craft magazine -oh wait, do I actually have relaxing afternoons?  Not really, so it's more like browsing on the couch after 9pm when the kiddos are asleep.  Well, I am lucky enough to have several designs in the current Paper Creations Magazine Spring issue!

Here is one of the cutie Easter cards I made that appears on page 20.  The stamp set is from Gina K Designs and of course there are lots of Spellbinders dies on this card.
I have 2 extra copies of this issue and would love to give them away.  So, if you would like one just leave me a comment on this post and I will pick 2 names on Tuesday.  I leave for my Spellbinders retreat Wednesday, so I will have to mail them out when I return.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!!

Today we are spotlighting the One Free with Three set, Great Sayings and the Believe in Yourself Duo.  In honor of Gina's 3 year anniversary, Believe in Yourself is free with any $35.00 purchase through March 31st!

My first card uses Believe in Yourself -this butterfly is stunning!  I inked it in yellow and tapped red ink along edges.  The delicate pattern paper is Piccadilly from Basic Grey.  I did a lot of sewing on this card -even a little zig zag!  I played along with the Deconstructed Sketch 42, LOVE this sketch!
Next up is my card from Great Sayings.  I went super CAS with this one and got the layout idea from the fabulous Laurie Schmidlin (isn't she amazing?)
So I originally stamped the sentiment directly on the back panel, but it smeared slightly!  I couldn't start over because that was the LAST piece of cute green dotted paper I had!  So I improvised.  Turned out OK in the end.  See how blurry the "me" was?
Check out all the amazing designs and inspiration:

Today we are spotlighting the fabulous Stamp TV Kit, Petals and Wings. First up is the card that I gave you a sneak peek from.  I stamped and cut out the gorgeous flowers and adhered them over my smaller circles which is outlined with Want2Scrap rhinestone circle.  I used pattern paper from 2 GKD packs, the top is from Pool Side and the bottom purple piece is from Parisian Garden
My second card uses that adorable hot air balloon image.  Super cute!!  I popped up the clouds and heart and used another rhinestone circle from Want2Scrap.  The pattern paper strip along the bottom is from paper pack in the STV kit, Petals and Wings.  LOVE the fresh colors and designs in this pack.  I used one of my favorite new M-Bossabilities folders for the background -kinda like clouds.
And here is the inside!

Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style - Think Spring

Hi everyone!  Welcome to this week's Ribbon Inspiration Stamp Simply Style. This week we were to think spring!  When I think of Spring, I always think of pink, yellow and blue tones  -and of course flowers!!

My card uses some of the My Mind's Eye, Miss Caroline "Dolled Up" paper.  Can I just say it took me over an hour to settle on this pad?  You see, I ordered all the new MME pads and looked through each one during the entire American Idol Thursday night!  Man, they sure are pretty, but I digress...
I thought the Prima flowers from the Avon Rose, Alla Prima packed complimented the papers nicely.  Do you see some embossing on the background piece?  Yep, I stamped the JustRite Shabby Music background stamp and embossed it with clear powder.  I used a couple ribbons on this one, the satin edged grosgrain, the wrinkled ribbon and the baker's twine.  The circle frame and sentiment are from JustRite Stampers, Family Garden.
Each week we will have fabulous Blog Candy (this week's is pictured below) made up of the ribbons that we feature.  The winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, one comment per blog, please.  The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, March 13th and posted on Sharon's Blog on Wednesday.
You must check back to claim your prize if you are the lucky winner!
Here is a list of today's participants:

Today we are spotlighting the sets, Wild Flowers and Masculine Tags,  illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger and Tami Mayberry respectively. First up is a card using Wild Flowers illustrated by Melanie.  These flowers are 2 step stamping, meaning you can stamp the flower in one color and the flower centers and stems in another.  I used a small piece of washi tape (across the bottom) as my color inspiration for this card.  The bottom detail is from the new Spellbinders Classic Decorative Six inserts.
Next I have a simple Father's Day card using Masculine Tags illustrated by Tami.  This set is designed to coordinate with one of my FAVORITE Spellbinders labels, Twenty-Two.  LOVE.  I used a strip of GKD pattern paper from the Pool Side pack.  I also used a Spellbinders Edgeabilities insert for the black strip pattern and used 2 of the negative pieces to accent the Father's Day sentiment.  I love the masculine images in this set, a go-to set for guy cards for sure!!

Home is Where the Heart is digi kit

Hi everyone!  I’m super excited to share a fun new digital/paper crafting kit with you today!  Check this out:
One of my online scrappy friends (and Spellbinders DT mate), Shanna Vineyard, has combined her love of hand-drawing and painting mixed with her fondness of bright, happy colors to bring us a kit that is different than anything you’ve ever seen!   In celebration of her relocating back home to Arizona next week, she was inspired to create this kit, “Home Is Where the Heart Is” that includes over 50 different hand-drawn and painted images.  They can be used in your digital projects or can be easily resized and printed to cut out and use with your traditional scrapbooking and card making.  The possibilities are endless and you will have them to use over and over again as much as you like for as many projects as you wish!  So FUN!!!

Here are a couple cards I made with the kit.  Most of you know that I'm not all that technical and doing hybrid projects about scares the pants off of me.  But Shanna explained that I can copy and paste the images into my Word document, size accordingly and print out.  HEY!  I can do that!  lol!  Turns out it was pretty easy peasy.  This card uses the Spellbinders flower pot dies and a couple flower images printed out in different sizes.  Love this blue birdie -it's my favie of all the colors in the kit.
My next card uses the Fall To Layout 180 sketch from this week.  Ummmm, how cute is that kite???  Again with the cute little birdies, happy sigh...
You can visit Shanna’s blog to purchase this kit and see LOTS of other awesome samples from several designers!    In celebration of this fun, new release she is also having a huge giveaway valued at over $275.00 with lots of fabulous new scrappy goodies and several ways you can win!  So head on over and check it out!

Thanks for stopping by, here are a couple close up pictures.
