Gina K November release inspiration blog hop: Day 1

Hi everyone!!  Welcome to Day 1 of the Gina K Designs November Release Inspiration Blog hop!  Today we are spotlighting the sets, Stately Flowers 1 and Make a Statement, both illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. Several of the DT are also showing samples for the Duos, Close Knit Friends and Because of You.

First up is a card using Make a Statement.  This set is soooo versatile!  I love all the clever sentiments that are in this set and that map is awesome.  We will be sending this card to Bill's mom when we send her a goody basket!
Next, is my card using Stately Flowers 1.  This will be the first in a series of stamp sets all profiling states and their official flowers.  This first set includes Colorado, California, Texas and Wisconsin.  My card uses the Rocky Mountain Columbine colored with copics.  I Googled it to see how to color it, and discovered it is such a beautiful flower.  For the sentiment, I inked only the "thanks" part of the stamp.  I can't wait for the set which will have Oregon's flower, the Oregon Grape.
For even more samples of these new sets, you can visit each of the GKD Design Team blogs listed below.  Make sure you leave a comment here and on each of their blogs because Gina is going to draw two randomly chosen winners from all of the blog comments, and each will receive a fabulous grab bag of stamps!  Gina will announce the winners on her blog tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by!  I will leave you with a couple close up pictures.  Be sure to come back tomorrow when we showcase 2 more sets and another Duo!!

So I hope to see you at the party, here are all the details:

Stamp Simply sale and a Featured Stamper card

Hi everyone!  Just a quick post to let you all know of a 3 Day Sale going on over at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store through the end of tomorrow (Wednesday).  In lieu of a Black Friday sale, Sharon is putting some of her favorite products on sale:

All Prima product in stock (paper, flowers and all trims and embellishments)
All Webster’s Pages product in stock (paper, trim cards, cameos and all embellishments)
As always you can see ALL marked down items listed under SPECIALS.
And don’t forget to check out the Sale Bins.

I also have a SCS Featured Stamper card to share today.  This week's stamper is Tenia Sanders-Nelson.  I had fun looking through her gallery and chose this card to CASE.

My card uses some of the fabulous Silver Mirror cardstock.  P.S. I love this cardstock.  It is very shiny (like a mirror) and is very sturdy (like Gina K Designs or PTIs).  Perfect to die cut and emboss!  The snowflake die is from 2011 Snowflake Pendant set.  So pretty!  Once again, I used the "negative" pieces as accents.  The paper is from KaiserCraft's Silly Season Christmas pad and I love that it has silver throughout the designs.
The ribbon is the white tinsel edged sheer ribbon and I accented it with some silver cord.  Can I just say how happy this silvery matchy matchy stuff makes me???  Yep, pretty darn happy!
Thanks for stopping by, I'll leave you with a close up picture:

It's all about My Mind's Eye

Hi everyone!  I have to say, I am enjoying my love affair with My Mind's Eye.  When they came out with 6x6 pads last year, I was OVER the moon!  Their designs are soft, feminine,   never over the top and always have some simple stripes or dots for simple card designs.  AND perfect color palettes.  My first love of 6x6 pads was Basic Grey, remember way back when they were the only paper in 6x6?  Gosh, I loved their designs then.  Sadly, either they changed, or I have, because I haven't liked their papers in a long time.  Thank goodness MME stepped in to save the day.

But I digress... today's card uses some of the pale pink papers from the Lost and Found "Blush" pad.  This has to be my current favorite packs right now (I used it on my wedding tag below)!!  I also used my Spellbinders Edgeablities, Rectangles Nestabilities and Pennant dies on this simple card.  The stamps are Waltzingmouse Stamps (I really love their stamps and don't have nearly enough in my collection -LOL) the Say It Loud set.

This card was for the MME blog sketch challenge #27, but it turns out it is TWO months old!  They are already on Challenge #29, and here I thought I was ORGANIZED!  lol!

Here are a couple of my current favorite MME pads.  You can find them all at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

 GORGEOUS stuff, right?????
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  I'll leave you with a close up picture.

Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style – White on White

Hi everyone!  Welcome to this week's Ribbon Inspiration Stamp Simply Style. This week we are doing something different.  Instead of focusing on 1 kind of ribbon, we were challenged to make white on white projects.  We could also use ivory, or other light pastel colors.  Sounds fun right?
I made a wedding tag for the challenge.  I started out with Ivory cardstock, die cut the bottom with Spellbinders Edgeabilities die and the heart decorative insert.  I then took the little "negative" heart pieces and used them as accents at the top.  I used 3 ribbons on the tag, the bottom piece is the Organic Cotton in Natural, then I have a piece of Kaisercraft lace in Ivory and finally some of the Wrinkled ribbon in ivory and white at the top.  The flowers I used are the Prima white fairytale rose and an Audrey Rose.

Each week we will have fabulous Blog Candy (this week's is pictured below) made up of the ribbons that we feature.  The winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, one comment per blog, please.  The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, November 15th and posted on Sharon's blog on Wednesday.

Here is the list of today's participants:

Ribbon Inspiration/Stamp Simply Style – Twill

He everyone!  Welcome to this week's Ribbon Inspiration Stamp Simply Style. This week we are showcasing TWILL RIBBON.  Twill is one of my favorite ribbons!  It adds a lot of texture to any card.

My card uses the Antique Gold Twill ribbon accented with a Poinsettia from the Holiday Celebration flower pack.  The pattern paper is from Dear Mr. Clause from Cosmo Cricket and I added a few rhinestones as accents.  My card is also for the CAS-ual Friday's challenge, Over the Edge -which has an element going over the edge of your card.
Here is another card I posted several months ago using twill ribbon and Gluber glue dots (original post here) along with some pictures showing how I used the Gluber Dots to make the ribbon blossom.
You start by putting a small knot in the end of your ribbon.  Place that in the middle of your Gluber (I used the 2" size), it becomes the center.  Start rolling the ribbon and wrapping it around the center.  When you finish "rolling and sticking" your ribbon down, tuck the end under the gluber to glue it down (see the second pic).  However, that part will not be sticky to your card, so add a dab of glue to it before you stick the Gluber down.
Each week we will have fabulous Blog Candy (this week's is pictured below) made up of the ribbons that we feature.  The winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs, one comment per blog, please.  The winner will be selected at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday, November 8th and posted on Sharon's blog on Wednesday.
Here is the list of today's participants:

JustRite Christmas Linky -part 2

Hi everyone!  I  have another JustRite Stampers Christmas Linky Party card to share!  Have you checked out the Mr. Linky on the JustRite blog?  There are a lot of fabulous Christmas cards, you should check it out.

My card uses the brand new clear set O Christmas Tree (it's even on sale for $11.21 right now!).  I LOVE that this set is compatible with Spellbinders™ S5-028 Nested Pennants and S5-029 Nested Lacey Pennants dies!!  Those banners make perfect trees right?  For the background, I stamped one of the tiny snowflake images in pebble ink and accented each with a tiny rhinestone.

I've always thought the paper torn shaped to look like snow drifts was so clever, and I wanted to give it a try.  It didn't turn out like I thought, but I do like how I was able to use the sentiment from the pattern paper (Lost and Found Christmas from MME).
That's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll leave you with a close up picture.

Most supplies on this card can be found at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
Card Deets:
Stamps - O' Christmas Tree
Ink - Fern, Pebble (AMuse)
Paper - Pure Luxury White and Cranberry Tart cardstock (Gina K Designs), Lost and Found Christmas 6x6 pad (MME)
Accessories - Spellbinders™ S5-028 Nested Pennants and S5-029 Nested Lacey Pennants Shapeabilities, Avon Rose in Alla Prima (Prima), Burgundy wrinkled ribbon, copic markers (for tree trunk), 2 and 3mm cranberry and clear rhinestones (Pizzazz Aplenty), Stickles in Stardust

JustRite Christmas Linky Party

Hi everyone!  I have a card to share with you for the JustRite Stampers Christmas Linky Party!  JustRite has invited designers to get a jump on Christmas cards and link their blog posts to the JustRite blog's Mr. Linky.  The Linky Party is a week long party - so you have an entire week to create your JustRite Christmas Projects.

My card uses the wreath image from Christmas Trimmings and the sentiment is from Deck the Halls.  I colored the wreath with Copic markers and added a dab of red stickles to each berry.  The Christmas paper is from the My Mind's Eye, 12 Days of Christmas pad.  I went pretty CAS on this one and yep, I used more circles on this one.  I can't help it, I am addicted to my Spellbinders™ Circles Nestabilities!

This card is nice and flat -perfect for mailing!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll leave you with a close up picture.
Most supplies on this card can be found at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
