Ippity, some Pink Paislee and SSSC66

Hi everyone!  I have a CAS card to share.  My card is totally inspired by this gorgeous creation by Amy Sheffer - I just love how she did the tone on tone cardstock with the stitching around the edges!  Amy, you ROCK!

I haven't used my favorite Ippity set, Where You Should Be in awhile, so I thought it was time to get it inky.  I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip and the blossom branch in Soft Sky over it.  I added a touch of a light orange Copic marker to each blossom circle to bring in the orange just a bit.

My card uses the Sweet Sunday sketch #66.  LOVE this sketch!  In fact, I used a variation of it to make a set of cards that I can't share with you all right now.  But I digress... my card uses the new paper from Pink Paislee, 365 Degrees.  LOVIN' the orange and blues of this line!  I used some Burlap String for the center of the button -I just love finishing off my buttons!!

I haven't talked about my Ippity sales in awhile.  After I stepped down from the DT, I was asked by several people if I would still sell Ippity.  Well the answer is YES!  You bet I am!  I absolutely love Ippity and my stepping down had nothing to do with the stamps.  In fact, I just received a new shipment and am fully stocked with the Winter release and a couple from the Fall release.  Please check out my Ippity Sales blog to find details on pricing, shipping, accessory kits and my current sale!!

Speaking of sales - don't miss out on Hope Stamps Eternal going out of business sale!!  Everything in the store is 35% off.  Everything is going fast, so hurry!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hi everyone!  It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!  Check out this amazing cupcake.  OMG, I just want to reach in my computer and TAKE A BITE!!

I was inspired by the lovely pink color and silver ribbon.  I used the amazing Memory Box, Gossamer paper.  Rachel is sold out of this paper, but check out her Paper Category, there is LOTS of good stuff there!  My flowers are from Verve's One Person and stamped on pattern paper.  Sigh... aren't they GORGEOUS?  I used Zva Creative pearls from the Pearl Wheel, Round both in the flower centers and on the butterflies.  The sentiment is also from Verve, Wish Big.

I followed the April Sketch from Anabelle O'Malley over on the Emma's Paperie blog.  Seriously, Anabelle is so uber talented that I am hoping that just by PLAYING in her challenge, some of her talent will rub off on me -LOL!

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE Blog and use CIC56 when uploading to online galleries. Every week, Rachel highlights the top 5!!

2S4Y 50 Bonus sketch

Hi everyone!  Happy Saturday!  Did you all have a chance to check out Verve's Beach Party releases last night?  Another amazing release for sure - 5 new sets and 3 Plain Janes!!

I have a challenge card to share with you.  This uses the bonus sketch from the 2 Sketches 4 You challenge blog.  It was designed by Heather P. and I couldn't resist!!  I still had Pink Paislee, 365 Degrees paper (on SALE for $3.74 now!), border punch, and stamp set out from this card, so this came together pretty quickly.

It uses Verve's newly released One Person set.  LOVE this set -perfect balance of sentiments and floral images, done like only Julee can!!  I stamped the flowers, colored them with Copic markers, cut them out and added Distress stickles in the centers.  I was hoping for a bit more dimension in the centers, but Distress stickles are different than normal stickles.  Hum... maybe should have used rhinestones -LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned tomorrow for another fabulous Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake challenge!  AND still going on, 25% storewide sale!!

Card Deets:
Stamps - One Person (Verve)
Ink - Chocolate Chip and Mellow Moss (SU!)
Paper - Kraft, dark chocolate (PTI), 365 Degrees 6x6 pad (Pink Paislee)
Accessories - distress stickles in Denim (Ranger), taffeta ribbon (Martha Stewart), scallop border punch (SU!), Copic markers

Hi everyone!  Today is Verve's RELEASE DAY!  I hope you'll come by our Release Party tonight for a little chatting, set reveals, winner announcements and some more sneak peek eye candy from the Divas!  The party starts at 6PM Pacific, and at 8PM Pacific the sets will go live in the Verve store!

My sneak peek card uses one of the amazing quotes in this set.  I used a piece of Webster's Pages, Postcards from Paris papers.  (Note, Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is out of this paper now, but has plenty of Graphic 45 papers that have the same vintage feel to them!).  I used a layout from Sherry's Zva Creative sketch challenge.  Like I often do, I got 1/2 the challenge right -it was also supposed to be a COLOR challenge, using light blue, yellow and light gray.  Seriously, I have to read thru these challenges better and WRITE them down!   Sigh... at least I got the sketch right!!  LOL!

The felt flowers are from Zva's Cool and Cozy mix and the flower is a Baby Blue Sweet Blossom. I used a piece of SU! felt ribbon tied with some silver cord

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you tonight at Verve's Release Party!!

2 challenge cards using Verve sneak peeks

Hi everyone!  I have a couple challenge cards to share and both are sneak peeks of Verve's new stamps!!  Have you checked out the Verve Blog for all the spotlights and chances to win some Verve stamps?

My first card is for the SCS sketch challenge, SC277.  I love this layout!  My card is a sneak peek for two Verve sets being released tomorrow (4/23), Relax and Dude

The pattern paper is My Mind's Eye, Breaking Free -I still have 2 Accessory Kits with this paper available.  And the striped grosgrain ribbon and burlap string are from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

My next card is for this week's The Shabby Tea Room challenge.  It is a sketch challenge based on this inspiration photo.  My card gives you another peek at the new set, Blessings.  I used pattern paper from Pink Paislee 365 Degrees, and the amazing May Arts crocheted ribbon is from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I am kinda new to this challenge blog, does anyone know if you have to make a "shabby chic" card to play along?  I wasn't sure, so I made mine a bit "shabby" just in case.

And, BONUS!  I remembered to bust out my new Beautiful Bloom dies from PTI!!  Do you ever buy something you HAD to have, use them once and promptly put them away never to be used again?  Yeah, guilty as charged!  So, I am making an effort to USE my new stuff.  Sigh... anyway, the flower blossom is topped of by an amazing Zva Creative Sweet Blossom.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check back tomorrow as it's the last day of Verve's sneak peeks and the RELEASE PARTY!!  It's tomorrow night at 6pm PST.  Hope to see you there!!

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Day 1 of the Verve New Release Spotlights!  Today we are spotlighting the new set called Relax.  This set is SUPER fun and has lots of fun beach images, and was the inspiration for this release theme of a BEACH PARTY!!  All the stamps will be available for purchase after the Release Party on Friday night!!

My card is also for one of the five release party challenges - a color challenge to use Aqua, Green and Orange.  For details on all the challenges, click here for the Beach Party Master Challenge thread.
My card uses one of my favorite "go-to" layouts that you have seen before.  Kinda like a favorite "little black dress" -well, if I had one I mean!  LOL!  I used the new PTI color, Hawaiian Shores (how could I not, I mean, come on?), my orange is from a scrap of Pumpkin Pie DSP and the green is in the palm tree top.  Isn't the ocean waves stamp the cutest?  Can I just say, I LOVE this set!

Be sure to visit the Verve Blog for more examples of how the Divas used this set.  AND, we have 2 wonderful Guest Divas this month, my former HSE sweetie- the lovely Carolina and the very talented Christi

TEA for you (not COFFEE) with a little Zva

Hi everyone!  I think I am losing my mind.  No really - LOL.  I thought I was going to share a DOUBLE challenge card, but turns out it only fits ONE challenge!

Verve is having a fun little challenge called Coffee Anyone? Celebrating the stamp set Delightful and Delicious.  And the DT for Zva Creative has sketch/color challenges.  Coffee and Zva, perfect combo right?  Well, after I finished my card, I realized I USED THE WRONG SET.  Evidently, I grabbed A Cup of Life set instead.  Huh?!  Sigh... you would think the TEAPOTS would have been a big clue for me...

Oh well, I love the card, so here it is.  I used the sketch from Kim's blog.  The colors looked to me to be Aqua Mist, Lemon Tart, Dark Gray, White and I chose Kraft as a neutral.  My card uses a Zva Creative felt flower from the Cozy Mix, a Sweet Blossom in white, clear rhinestones from the Round Wheel and some swirl scraps.

I have a fun tip for you: don't be afraid to cut your rhinestone swirls!!  I cut them, rearrange them and save every little rhinestone!  Here is a pic of a brand new rhinestone pack and next to it is my scraps.  For the teapot steam, I searched my swirl scraps until I found the right piece!

Stay tuned everyone!  This is Verve Release Week and my blog will be hoppin' with Verve-y goodness!  There are lots of challenges AND ways to win some Verve Stamps.  You can find more details on the Verve Blog and on SCS at this thread.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Card Deets:
Stamps - A cup of Life (Verve)
Ink - Adirondack Slate Gray
Paper - Aqua Mist, Kraft, white, Basic Grey and Bitty Squares in Lemon Tart
Accessories - Zva Creative rhinestone round wheel, sweet blossom, felt flower, scallop border and large oval punch (SU!), 7/8" grosgrain ribbon (Martha Stewart), copic markers and silver cord (Pinkhedgehog Papercrafts), Swiss dots embossing folder

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #55

Hi everyone!  It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!  Check out these amazing cupcakes!!

My card does NOT do these beautiful flower cuppies any justice, but I was a bit short on time!  I followed this week's Fall To Layout #86 and went with circles.  I used pattern paper from Kaisercraft's Devonshire 6x6 pad (What up!  On sale for $6.74).  I was drawn to the orange-y coral and green colors in the paper pack.

You would think that making a card with pretty much nothing but 6 circles would be easy, but NOOOOOO!  You should see my craft area -I have circles punched from just about every paper in the pad all in different sizes.  Sigh... I arranged and rearranged these little buggars for over an hour!  Please tell me I am not the only one who is a bit touched with the OCD?!?  LOL!

I also added some tiny rhinestones from the Zva Creative Round Wheel for a little extra bling (this is sold out, but there are still some Round Pearls left).  See my card base?  That is MY LAST PIECE OF SOFT SKY CARDSTOCK!!  I can't tell you how sad I am at this.  Does anyone know if Soft Sky is one of the retired SU! colors that is being brought back?  If not, I am seriously hitting the EBAY!

Everyone is invited to play along in the challenge!! If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE Blog and use CIC55 when uploading to online galleries . Every week, Rachel highlights the top 5!!

3 Challenge cards in Gossamer

Hi everyone!  I have 3 challenge cards to share with you today.  All using the amazing new pattern paper, Gossamer from Memory Box!  Sigh, this paper is my new love...  Rachel just started her storewide 25% discount sale and is sold out, but if you move fast I think there are some Spearmint pads left!!

This first card is for this week's This card is for this week's SCS Featured Stamper challenge -to CASE Pat Smethers!! I chose this lovely card of her's to case.

I changed the image, border punch, accent flowers, but kept the same feel to the card.   My card uses one of my neglected Crafty Secret's sets, Wildflowers.  I used the embossed butterfly dies from SU!  and the flower dies are the Beautiful Blooms II #1 from PTI.  I colored the image with Copics and added Kaiser pearls in Chino.

My next card uses Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch and since I had my Wildflowers set on the desk, I used the other sentiment in it. The glittered chipboard hearts are from Melissa Frances and the rose is a Sweet blossom by Zva Creative.  All the pretty pink pearls are from Memory Box and the silk ribbon is from the Stamp Simply Ribbon store

And lastly, this card is for the Card Patterns Sketch #59. I used Verve's Feel the Sun set! Man, I LOVE this set, so beautiful! Guys, see what I MEAN about the paper?  So soft and lovely... happy sigh...  AND, again with the 1/4" silk ribbon!  Isn't it perfect with the paper?  Very delicate and it makes the most beautiful bows!!  You can find it in many colors from the Stamp Simply Ribbon store.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Spring Flowers Just for You BLOG HOP

Hi everyone and welcome to the Stamp Simply blog hop this month's theme is -Spring Flowers Just For You!!  This blog hop will feature cards or projects using flowers!!  AND there is some GREAT blog candy up for grabs to one lucky commenter -a gift certificate to Sharon's store!!  So hop along and if you see something you like leave a comment!

My card uses the sunflower image and border from the JustRite Stampers My Garden set.  The pattern paper is from the October Afternoon, Ducks in a Row 8x8 pad.  See?  The paper can be used for more than baby cards!

I stamped the sunflower 2 times, colored them with my copic markers and popped up the second one for dimension.  I stamped the circle border on PTI's new Hawaiian Shores cardstock and used my circle nestabilities to create a ring.  I tied a piece of 3/8" yellow gingham ribbon around one end.  In case you recognize it, the layout is from Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch from last week.

Here are a couple of pictures showing how I made the circle border -see?  Easy peasy!!

Hi everyone! It's Sunday and that means it's time for another FABULOUS Cupcake Inspiration challenge from Hope Stamps Eternal!

I have had a crazy last few days and unfortunately didn't have time to make a sample for today's challenge.  I hope to get one done in the next few days.  So, instead, I thought I would share a couple of cards I made during my time with the SCS Dirty Dozen.  OK, so they have nothing to do with the cupcake challenge, but I never have a chance to share my DD cards, so why not?!?

Both of these cards I made for my second month on the team, the theme was FASHION FOLLIES.  You can see the original SCS uploads here and here.  Note, you need to be an SCS Fan Club member to view the gallery links.

Double challenge birthday cake

Hi everyone!  As soon as I saw Sharon's post about her guesting for a new challenge called, The Shabby Tea Room, I knew I had to play along!!

It is a new challenge with what looks to be like some amazing Shabby Chic inspiration going on!  This week's challenge is called, "Embrace the White" -which is to use white with one other color.  I chose to use a light orange for my card because I just HAD to use this lovely piece of paper from Basic Grey's, Green at Heart pad!  I also used some dreamy 1" satin ribbon (from Sharon's store), some Sweet Blossoms from Zva Creative and Verve's amazing birthday cake from Big Wish

The sketch is from this week's JUGS27 challenge. I finally got to use my fancy dancy new large scallop edge punch.  Which was a perfect match for this sketch!

So, did you notice my picture?  I jumped on the Flower Frog bandwagon to prop my card on for pictures.  Not sure how I like it.  The "prongs" are metal and leave gray marks on my test papers -I am afraid they will ruin the bottom of my card!  Any tips on cleaning them?

Well, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Card Deets:
Stamps - Big Wish (Verve)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper - White, Green at Heart (Basic Grey)
Accessories - Square and circle nesties, white satin ribbon (Stamp Simply Ribbon store), sweet blossoms (Zva Creative), Champagne pearls (Kaisercraft), Scalloped Scallop punch (EK Success), Copic markers in YR01, YR02, YR82, Y23, W1
